The Canadian Cancer Society has received 100 tickets from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the football club’s annual pink game on October 6.

The Bombers host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and will honour survivors on the field before kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

The first-ever Winnipeg Tattoo Convention this past August raised $13,550 for the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM).

More than 250 tattoo artists from around the world were in Winnipeg for the three-day event, bringing together the industry of ink-loving professionals and fans of the body art in one central location.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris will champion Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba as its newest ambassador.

Harris will attend RMHC Manitoba and third party events as part of his community duties, be a spokesperson for the charity and advocate for its fundraising campaigns.

The Pinawa Golf & Country Club is getting a new roof thanks to a $20,000 donation from Sunova Credit Union.

The donation comes from the 12th annual Sunova Golf Classic earlier this summer.

An annual golf classic presented by Winnipeg Jets’ Mark Scheifele helped raise $190,000 for KidSport Winnipeg earlier this summer.

The 2017 Mark Scheifele Golf Classic at Niakwa Country Club combined fundraising efforts with an annual two-day Hockey Camp at Bell MTS Iceplex.

WINNIPEG — A charitable initiative launched by Outlet Collection Winnipeg during their grand opening ceremony last month has provided $10,000 to Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue Inc.

The charity was chosen as the voters’ charity of choice as part of the “You Care. We Share.” campaign. Winnipeggers submitted votes both online and in-person, which were then narrowed down to select the top three charities.
